iSolved is currently looking for a Market Place Quality Assurance Specialist. The Quality Assurance Specialist's role is to develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures.  This individual will also gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. This will include writing and executing test plans for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems. The QA Analyst will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate processes through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of business investments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION ARE:

• Ensure that testing activities will allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
• Collaborate with developers, IT management and system business experts in the testing of new software programs and applications.
• Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements and interface specifications.
• Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop testing strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
• Take an active role in cross-departmental projects when needed.
• Contribute to pre-testing phase of project development by evaluating proposals in order to identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations
• Evaluate, plan, design, develop, and deploy testing techniques for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles.
• Analyze formal test results in order to discover and resolve defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
• Produce reports and documentation for all testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging, and tracking.
• Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
• Develop, distribute, and coordinate in-depth end-user reviews for modified and new systems or applications.
• Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-testing best practices.

CORE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• College diploma or university degree in software engineering, computer science, or business administration and/or 2 3 years equivalent work experience.
• Certifications in one of the following preferred:
  • Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSOA)
  • Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP)
• Strong knowledge of system testing and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
• Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently as well as in a team environment.
• Detailed oriented, well organized and able to assume responsibility for specific project deliverables with limited supervision.
• Deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that requires ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent people and communication skills
• Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
