Summary/objective
Sales leader accountable for sales organization performance, the profitable achievement of sales goals, and for aligning sales objectives. Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, this individual will align the sales organization's objectives with business strategy through active participation in corporate strategic planning and execution of strategic initiatives as they relate to enterprise revenue growth.
Core Job Duties
- Responsible for developing strategic sales plans based on enterprise goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization.
- Oversee the sales managers/directors for both large and mid-market teams including business development representatives responsible to generate first sales interactions.
- Establishes and maintains productive peer-to-peer relationships with customers and prospects. Is accountable for sales strategy development, sales organization design, forecasting, sales resource planning, strategic direction for promotion and advertising, sales growth and customer satisfaction and budgeting.
- Provides leadership to the sales management team, while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behavior.

Broad expertise or unique knowledge; contributes to development of company objectives and principles and achieves goals in creative and effective ways. Sought out for functional knowledge and guidance. Anticipates issues and makes considered decisions to avoid them.
Interaction
Collaborate with cross functional teams to continuously drive greater sales alignment and efficiencies.
Supervision
Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. Supervises the activities of the Directors of Account Management
Experience
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Substantial experience and positive track record for leading a sales organization, including a proven record of consultative sales success with large national and global accounts.
- Strong experience in developing long term sales strategy and go-to-market plan.
- Experience as a proven sales leader with in-depth industry experience and a true passion for the industry.
- Exceptional people management skills, a record of building high-performance teams and outstanding relationships with internal and external customers.
- Strong 'bottom-line' financial orientation, as well as sales orientation balanced with solid general management skills.
- Experience in developing and managing senior stakeholders at C level.
- Experience with hiring and building strategic sales teams.
- Highly organized, disciplined and success-motivated.
- Must have knowledge of competitors/competitive programs and of differentiators that enable us to successfully sell and close business.
- Aggressive competitor in new business arena and winning business must matter to this individual.
- Ability to juggle multiple variables and multiple projects during short, high-intensity work development periods.
- Strong work-ethic with proactive communication skills that encourages courageous conversations.
- Deep understanding of revenue recognition methodology, account and market share growth objectives, while leading a team to achieve these objectives.
- Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, decision making, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of 50% travel (domestic).
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
