Job Description

Strategic alliances and partnerships are at the heart of some of the fastest growing and most exciting initiatives within isolved today, helping drive new, high-margin ways to maximize our business growth. Strategic alliance team members seamlessly blend creative and technical abilities with strong commercial acumen, and importantly advanced project and relationship management skills to influence the entire company's success.


Reporting directly to isolved's Chief Strategy Officer, the VP of Strategic Alliances will work across departments and with sales, finance, product, marketing, and customer success organizations, as well as executive stakeholders, to introduce, develop and deliver ROI from strategic alliances with third party partner organizations.


The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering business impact and truly understands the strategic value focused strategic partnerships have in supporting and delivering on a business's key objectives. A strategic and operationally savvy leader who can manage and collaborate effectively and consultatively with diverse stakeholders, without direct reporting lines, ensuring the completion of critical projects on time and on budget.


Core Job Duties

  • Source, negotiate, close, develop, launch, and deliver upon agreed strategic alliances and third-party partner relationship goals in line with isolved's business plans.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of initiatives.
  • Ensure that all new alliances are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Developing scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility alongside product and marketplace management teams.
  • Measure and report on performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive alliance documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 10 years proven experience and track record of success in strategic alliances and partnerships, business development, program management, project management, or ISV/OEM relationship management roles or combination thereof with at least 5 years in the software industry.
  • You have extremely high personal power, presence, and likeability with exceptional relationship skills (empathy, trust, value exchange, negotiation).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a natural leader and champion.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization and externally with alliance partner leadership.
  • Demonstrable experience of both inbound (referral or revenue share) and outbound alliances (white labelling).
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing cross functional teams with a "roll-up your sleeves" attitude to help get tactical tasks done.
  • Impeccable integrity, including sound judgment and professionalism; a forthright approach and willingness to give and receive open and candid feedback to improve leadership and ensure business success.
  • Comfortable in both strategy setting and execution within an agile organization, able to make swift decisions, and deal with ambiguity.
  • You are highly results-oriented, assertive, competitive and a hands-on problem solver who is driven to succeed and win while having fun doing it.
