BRIEF STATEMENT OF THE PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION

 

The Vice President of Product Management will work closely with CEO's staff to build on iSolvedHCM's market position, determine which opportunities to pursue, think holistically about the product, and develop ways to introduce new revenue streams.  The Vice President of Product will report directly to the COO and will be a key member of the extended leadership team, participating and leading the most important cross-functional initiatives to further iSolvedHCM's vision.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

 

  • Define and deliver against clear near, medium, and long-term product roadmaps that support rapid growth of our business
  • Provide thought and executional leadership to bring the entire product function to a new level, including product innovation, product merchandising, customer adoption and associated new revenue streams
  • Align product and development investment with the most compelling opportunities to innovate and deliver valuable solutions to the market while creating significant competitive differentiation
  • Lead the product team to be the Voice of the Customer, using a variety of methods and approaches to deeply understand the underlying needs of our customers
  • Improve the operational aspects of product ownership and collaboration with the Engineering Team to increase development velocity and productivity and predictable product delivery
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success organizations to support development of Product Marketing assets and toolkits to improve value-based sales performance
  • Structure, hire, train, and develop a Product Management organization able to craft product strategy, drive technical delivery of the product, and partner with Sales and Marketing to define go-to-market
  • Establish, measure, analyze and report key performance metrics, including ROI and then use data and insights to continuously improve the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of the product development process
  • Set high but reachable goals, clearly communicate those goals, and then infuse the team with a sense of purpose and urgency to achieve those goals

 

 

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR THIS POSITION

 

  • 5+ successful years as head of a product management team in a software business (B2B preferred) with responsibility for product strategy, product roadmap, product definition, revenue growth initiatives, customer engagement, and user experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess market and customer signals, including using research and analytics, to identify underlying customer needs and translate them into compelling value propositions and competitive differentiators
  • Experience defining and executing against an ROI-driven product roadmap that utilizes business value and level of investment to manage difficult tradeoffs and maximize value delivery
  • Experience organizing, building, and developing a product management team
  • Experience working across a variety of departments such as sales, marketing, customer success, engineering, and finance to develop go-to-market strategies and drive alignment to a clear and compelling product vision.
  • Able to take limited direction and run with it, making and owning decisions
  • Ability to plan, establish, execute and measure business relevant objectives for product and engineering teams
  • The candidate must be willing to relocate to Charlotte, NC.

 

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

 

  • Must be a ROCK STAR EXECUTIVE who is upwardly mobile, a proven leader, looking to scale into our CTO.
