Job Summary:

The Ancillary Services Specialist supports the Finance Department in an effort to achieve organizational goals. This person works closely with all stakeholders to support the payroll service client base.


Core Job Duties:

Perform tasks associated to the Treasury Ancillary Services role. Ancillary services being defined as AP Benefit, Workers Comp and 401k product offering

The daily tasks associated to the Treasury Ancillary Services role consists of, but is not limited to

  1. Responding to cases associated to AP Benefits, Workers Comp and 401k
  2. Performing tasks in Quickbooks to issue payments to 3rd party payee for AP Benefits
  3. Distribution of AP Benefit payments to 3rd party payees
  4. Act as liaison between HCM Support team and Treasury team to maintain and validate setup options for AP Benefits and Work Comp services in iSolved for Contacts, Legal Services, Rates and Job classification
  5. Extract Workers Comp information from iSolved monthly and report to 3rd party carriers
  6. Participate in Work Comp annual audits as defined in the Work Comp client agreement
  7. Work closely with Treasury staff members to ensure fund movement and reconciliation discrepancies are resolved accurately and timely

  • Ancillary Services Specialist is authorized to process transactions for fund movement ONLY if you are not reconciling the restricted account for the transaction period
  • Ancillary Service Specialist can perform tasks on the Treasury Specialist and Reconciliation Specialist job description if directed to do so by their superior

  • Maintain accurate records to ensure AP benefits and Work Comp payments are processed timely and in accordance to the 3rd party payee expectations
  • Identify, document and report issues to your superior that you are unable to resolve
  • Perform all tasks timely and accurately as assigned by your superior
  • Perform self-evaluations and goals as set by your superior
  • Actively participate and promote teamwork with everyone you come in contact with
  • Other projects as assigned by your manager as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years in finance role, preferably with AP, AR and/or reconciliation experience
  • The position requires a detail oriented, self-starter who has experience in accounting, with online payment application, is PC savvy and has good time management skills
  • The position also requires strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience from Insurance industry and/or Workers Compensation is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills are essential.
  • High level of skill with Excel
  • Proficient with a 10 key
  • Ability to Multitask
  • Able to handle a busy working environment with multiple deadlines

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
