Training Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION STATEMENT

We are looking for a Training Specialist to enhance the competencies of individual employees by designing and conducting training programs that will boost employees workplace performance in alliance with company's core values. You will be responsible for performing training needs assessments, designing, and delivering curriculum and learning materials and for managing all phases of training interventions.

BRIEF STATEMENT OF THE PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION

Reporting to the Director, Employee Engagement this position is responsible for maintaining a successful onboarding program by enhancing the current process and facilitating all aspects of new hire, along with development training. We are seeking enthusiastic candidates with a training and development background with an emphasis on onboarding and employee development.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

• Identify gaps in onboarding process and enhance the process
• Understand training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses
• Build annual training programs and prepare teaching plans
• Develop and oversee training material and content needed for employee development
• Facilitate new hire onboarding
• Deliver training courses
• Create new training programs based off business needs
• Evaluate existing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes or needs
• Acclimate new hires to the business and conduct orientation sessions
• Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their quality results
• Be able to manage projects and complete them

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR THIS POSITION

• 3 Years of experience needed/desired
• BS degree in Education, Training, HR or related field desired

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

• Proven experience in designing training events in a corporate setting
• Knowledge of design theory and learning principles
• Adequate knowledge of traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques
• Understanding adult learning theory
• Familiarity with talent management and succession planning
• Ability to master the onboarding experience
• Knowledge in project management
• Sounds decision and organizational skills
• Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences
• Extensive knowledge in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Working conditions require normal to close concentration, visual attention, and manual dexterity.

LOCATION

This position can be located in Charlotte-NC, Salt Lake City-UT, or Phoenix-AZ.
