Summary:
The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the storage facility. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks, managing waste disposal, and ensuring the facility is safe and operational for all users.
Essential Job Functions:
Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform regular cleaning and sanitizing of storage units, common areas, and restrooms.
Waste Management: Handle waste disposal, including sorting recyclables and ensuring proper disposal of hazardous materials.
Organization: Maintain the organization of storage units and common areas, ensuring items are stored safely and efficiently.
Inspection and Reporting: Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and report any issues to management.
Safety Compliance: Implement and adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for all users.
Customer Assistance: Assist customers with accessing their storage units and provide support as needed.
Job Complexity:
Attention to Detail: Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
Problem-Solving: Address any maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
Multitasking: Manage multiple cleaning and maintenance tasks simultaneously.
Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in facility maintenance or cleaning is preferred.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
Licenses/Certifications: Certification in cleaning or maintenance is a plus.
Physical Demands:
Lifting: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
Standing/Walking: Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the facility.
Climbing: Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
Manual Dexterity: Use of hands and fingers to handle cleaning tools and equipment.
