Job Description

The Technical Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining our cloud computing systems. This role will play a crucial role on the development team to ensure that we are leveraging cloud technologies to enhance operations toward achieving our identified strategic goals.

Core Job Duties

• Develop and maintain cloud architecture in an efficient and secure manner, ensuring it is robust, secure, scalable, and highly valuable.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams, ensuring best practices in cloud computing
• Assist in defining the organization's cloud strategy, selecting appropriate cloud services, and ensuring the infrastructure meets business and technical requirements
• Integrate various cloud services and technologies to optimize resources and reduce costs.
• Implement and manage security measures to protect cloud infrastructure and data
• Monitor cloud systems to ensure optimal performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with service providers
• Ensure the smooth functioning of cloud systems with minimal downtime and address technical issues promptly
• Assist with assessments and selection of cloud service providers (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Work closely with IT and security teams to monitor cloud privacy and optimize performance
• Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to the cloud
• Implement and maintain security controls to protect cloud-based systems
• Create and maintain documentation of cloud architectures, operations, and workflows
• Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience in large, complex information systems with a strong background in cloud services
• 3+ years developing cloud-native applications
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Proven experience in cloud architecture, network operations, software development, and information security
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges
• Ability to effectively communicate complex cloud concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Prefer strong skills in:
  • Azure
  • Microservice Architecture

  • Unit Testing
  • .NET
• Experience with:
  • NET/ASP.NET Core Web API
  • JavaScript
  • SOLID principles
• Preferred Experience with:
  • Knockout
  • Azure Cosmos DB or NoSQL database
  • Pub/Sub and asynchronous messaging
  • Docker
  • MVVM
