Job Description

The Technical Business Analyst is a member of the Agile PMO team. They work with cross-functional stakeholders and third parties to define business needs and design, build, and optimize best-in-class solutions. This role is an effective liaison between business and technical teams, responsible for gathering business requirements, analysis, and implementation phases of a project including process changes. The Technical Business Analyst role is expected to work independently on multiple assignments with a sense of urgency, structure, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive operational skills and experience in support of business objectives.

Core Job Duties

• Determine and define project scope, document, and validate business requirements for technical projects
• Translate business requirements (stories, etc.) into technically relevant specifications

• Complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
• Identify, model, and validate data requirements for projects

• Monitor, document, and report on all third-party updates/changes
• Ensure proper communication channels are established between technical and business resources
• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
• Facilitate technical requirements gathering sessions for project managers
• Identify, report, and advise on business process updates and efficiencies
• Improve systems by studying current practices, designing modifications
• Recommend controls by identifying problems, writing improved procedures
• Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Prepare solution for deployment including support staffing, documentation, maintenance procedures and training

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer science or a related field is preferred. Equivalent combination of experience, education and training will be considered
• 7 or more years of experience as a business analyst or product owner experience with business analysis background can be considered.
• Strong working knowledge of Agile principles and processes
• Demonstrate ability to translate complex technical terminology, concepts, and issues in terms understandable to technical and non-technical management and resource staff
• Ability to work collaboratively throughout the organization by establishing effective working relationships
• Creative and innovative thinker
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
