Tax Reconciliation

BRIEF STATEMENT OF THE PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: 

The Reconciliation Specialist supports the Finance Department in an effort to achieve organizational goals.  This person works closely with the stakeholders to support the payroll service client base.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION ARE:

1. Research tax funding variances for the Treasury reconciliation team
2. Contact clients for collection of underfunded taxes
   1. Explain variances to client for both reimbursements and collections
3. Contact tax agencies to determine if refunds have been issued
   1. Work with agency to have credits applied to future quarters
   2. Prepare and file amended tax returns to collect overpayments
4. Produced reconciliation reports as needed for clients
5. Netsuite CRM system
   1. Open cases
   2. Research and respond to cases
   3. Manage reconciliation queue
   4. Process termination cases
6. Secondary ability to load data to reconciliation database (backup to Treasury III role)
7. Secondary ability to research and resolve WC and/or 401k issues
8. Promote teamwork within the team
9. Lead by example
10. Other projects as assigned by the Vice President Treasury Management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• At least 3 5 years in PAYROLL tax payment and/or tax filing role, preferably with a payroll service
• The position requires a detail oriented, self-starter who has experience with online website (tax agencies), is PC savvy and has good time management skills
• The position also requires strong organizational and communication skills. A strong product, service and technical background is preferred. Strong customer service skills are essential.
• Proficient with a 10 key
• Able to handle a busy working environment with multiple deadlines
