Tax Project Manager

Purpose of the Position

Project Manager will provide support to the Payroll Tax operations department in a variety of payroll tax and administrative duties including producing quarterly payroll tax returns, tax adjustments, reconciliation, and auditing.

Primary responsibilities

• Responsible for calculating and reporting dept metric monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Overseeing the SOC audit process to maintain compliance.
• Maintain service bureau compliance (ME audit)
• Create and maintain SOP's for tasks assigned
• Organize and lead meetings with the team to guide them through the QE/YE process
• SME to cover topics from isolved tax such as tax reporting, Payment processing, and tax return filings.
• Ability to manage and ensure deliverables are within timeline and scope.
• Other projects as assigned by the VP, Tax.

Education and experience:

• A Bachelors degree in a accounting or business administration
• Highly organized, must have attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines.
• Analytical with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal) to interface effectively with individuals at various levels
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong Microsoft Office program experience, including Excel and Word.
• A strong product, service and technical tax background
