BRIEF STATEMENT OF THE PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION

This position will be join the Projects and Acquisitions Accounting team which is responsible for acquisition accounting transitions as well as any projects related to the transition and subsequent accounting integration.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

  • Participate in the acquisition accounting process from deal settlement through the initial recording of the purchase accounting entries and subsequent accounting transition into the Charlotte Corporate group.
  • Perform month end close duties related to acquisitions.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Perform various revenue upload between billing system, bank, and general ledger.
  • Continuously seek to improve processes and efficiencies within the acquisition process.
  • Work with the Corporate and Division Controller to integrate acquisition accounting processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR THIS POSITION

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in staff accounting role
  • CPA preferred

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

  • Ability and desire to work in a high-growth, fluid work environment
  • Highly motivate and able to work independently
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills as this role will interact with other areas of the company

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Normal working conditions require normal to close concentration, visual attention and manual dexterity. Lifting requirements less than 10 pounds. Moderate noise.
