Sr Project Manager Tax

BRIEF STATEMENT OF THE PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: 

The Sr Project Manager Tax will provide support to the Payroll Tax operation and Customer support department in a variety of payroll tax and administrative duties including producing qtrly payroll tax returns, tax adjustments, reconciliation, and auditing.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION ARE:

• Develop and maintain controls for daily processing schedules.
• Research and resolve bulk filing issues.
• Validate all tasks are completed on the daily process schedule.
• Attend all system maintenance/development training to include set up/testing for tax updates and compliance.
• Maintain service bureau compliance ME audit.
• Perform tasks associated to Soc audit.
• Develop and maintain SOP's.
• Independently handle complex tasks and escalation clients.
• Support/lead special projects as needed.
• Duties may change; may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be extremely organized, have attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines
• Analytical with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal) to interface effectively with individuals at various levels
• Ability to work well under pressure while consistently meeting time sensitive deadlines
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment
• Strong Microsoft Office program experience, including Excel and Word

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business, or similar field of study preferred
• Ability to handle multiple priorities at once
• Exhibit excellent customer service skills
• Display above average computer and analytical skills
• Maintain good communication skills
• Excellent problem solver
