Summary/objective
The Senior Vice President of Enterprise Sales is responsible for leading a group of HCM Sales Representatives targeting enterprise-level and QSR (quick serve restaurant) prospects. This role involves planning and implementing organizational strategies to achieve significant revenue growth, collaborating with other departments to maximize sales results, and spearheading initiatives to drive future growth. The Senior VP will be expected to meet or exceed assigned sales goals and expand the team to include a sales manager reporting to them.
Core Job Duties
- Achieve assigned sales goals.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting enterprise and QSR prospects.
- Recruit, hire, and maintain a high-performing, motivated sales team.
- Lead a team of 8+ Enterprise sales professionals, with plans to expand the team.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and other departments to maximize sales results.
- Maintain strong relationships with other departments and partners.
- Make decisions regarding staff and territory assignments.
- Approve expense reports and monitor travel and sales production.
- Represent the company by giving presentations, attending sales calls, and participating in trade shows.
- Lead by example and foster a culture of accountability and high performance.
Job Complexity
Guides and inspires others to work with abstract ideas or situations across functional areas of the business. Sets strategy and guides senior leaders in identifying and evaluating fundamental issues and direction for business unit(s). Requires in-depth knowledge of the business unit, business strategies, and the company's goals.
Interaction
Interacts internally and externally with executive and C-Level level management, requiring negotiation of extremely critical matters. Influences policymaking.
Supervision
Directs and controls the activities of one or more business unit, division, product groups or service areas through senior leaders who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of those assigned areas. Clear expertise as a leader and operator.
Experience
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of direct experience, with 10+ years of leadership experience. May require advanced degree.
Scope
Sets direction, strategy, and vision for business unit(s). Holds senior leaders accountable for results. Helps shape, exemplify, and hold senior leaders accountable to the management standards of the company. Approves corporate and/or organizational policies and authorizes their implementation. Inspires senior leaders to develop innovative concepts and promote new ideas. Drives meaningful impact and improvements across multiple functions or business units; strategically plans for how people and processes scale.
Discretion
Erroneous decisions will have a significant long-term effect on the company's success.
Minimum Qualifications
- Four-year college degree.
- 10-15 years of experience, preferably in software sales.
- Documented and extensive leadership experience required.
- Experience leading high-performing enterprise sales teams, selling to organizations with 500+ employees.
- Experience building and growing enterprise sales teams in the 500+ employee space.
- Proven track record of consultative sales success with large national and global accounts.
- Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, decision-making, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Payroll or Human Capital Management experience desired.
- Strong work ethic with proactive communication skills that encourage courageous conversations.
- Ability to juggle multiple variables and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of 50% travel (domestic).

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
