Summary/objective
The Senior VP, Account Management reports to the Chief Sales Officer and is responsible for overseeing and advancing the Customer Account Management department. This role is expected to drive strategic initiatives, foster collaboration with departments such as marketing and product, and enhance sales results within and around the isolved network of customers
Core Job Duties
- Lead and develop a high-performing customer account management team, exceeding sales targets and contributing significantly to business growth.
- Oversee Directors and team managers, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures to achieve ambitious sales goals.
- Serve as a strategic advisor and influential partner to the business, guiding initiatives from conception to execution.
- Cultivate strong collaboration between Sales, Marketing, and internal leadership to optimize client engagement and internal operations.
- Champion best practices, driving accountability and performance across teams.
- Spearhead the buildout of our HCM solutions, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge technology, support, and training.
- Provide subject matter expertise on outsourcing services such as HR and 401(k), and lead educational efforts through webinars, seminars, and CE for HR compliance offerings.
- Ensure a healthy, robust sales pipeline with a steady influx of qualified leads and opportunities.
- Monitor and enhance the productivity of Directors and their teams, motivating them to achieve peak performance.
- Continuously evaluate and improve sales administration processes to maintain competitive edge and efficiency.
- Act as a strategic partner to the leadership team, driving business success through actionable insights and sound judgment.
Job Complexity

Sets strategy and guides senior leaders in identifying and evaluating fundamental issues and direction for business unit(s). Requires in-depth knowledge of the business unit, business strategies, and the company's goals.
Interaction
Interacts internally and externally with executive and C-Level level management, requiring negotiation of extremely critical matters. Influences policymaking.
Supervision
Directs and controls the activities of one or more business unit, division, product groups or service areas through senior leaders who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of those assigned areas. Clear expertise as a leader and operator.
Experience
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of direct experience, with 10+ years of leadership experience. May require advanced degree.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or related degree.
- 15+ years of sales leadership experience within a software or PEO environment.
- Extensive industry experience in HCM is a strong asset.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Superior communication and presentation abilities.
- Adept at navigating complex, fast-paced environments and influencing at all levels.
- Proven expertise in driving sales success within large enterprise organizations.
- Strong collaborator, able to drive change and growth through visionary ideas and impactful relationships.
- Ability to translate high-level business objectives into actionable sales goals and metrics.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Travel Required
Yes, up to 10% domestic travel may be required.
