Senior HR Associate
Summary: This individual is responsible for primarily supporting technical and administrative HR needs as directed by the HR Services Manager, HR Services Team Lead, HR Consultants and Managed Payroll Specialists. Sr. HR Associates serve as technical and administrative key resources and also handle a variety of HR project support tasks. Sr. HR Associates may also serve as key customer service contacts for internal and external stakeholders, including interacting over the phone and via email with clients. Enhanced knowledge of isolved HCM functionality and ability to keep pace in a fast-growing department is required. A Senior designation is dependent upon ability to take on more complex projects, heightened communication and time management skills, and department need.
Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.
- Manage a queue of inquiries/requests/projects in support of the HR Services team/clients. Triage client questions to appropriate personnel.
- Assist team with various daily tasks on an ad hoc and regular basis, such as fulfilling new client onboarding communication requirements, pulling HR templates, compiling new hire onboarding packets, etc.
- Complete various miscellaneous HR tasks for clients including completing background checks, recruiting administration, benefits billing reconciliation, filing workers compensation injury reports and other duties as assigned.
- Aid in multi-state research for the analyses as needed.
- Handle payroll garnishment setup in isolved HCM and completing the garnishment answer for clients; ensure state and federal DOL compliance.
- Participate in a variety of HR related projects such as, position description revisions, handbook updates, prepare new hire onboarding packets, etc.
- Perform technical set ups in isolved such as certification builds, workflow creation, etc.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of isolved modules and functionality to identify upsell opportunities.
- Maintain total confidentiality with customer and company information.
- Work toward continuous quality improvement.
- Communicates efficiently and effectively with all stakeholders over the phone, via email, using Microsoft Teams, etc.
- Upholds, supports, and promotes teamwork and all company policies and procedures. Reliably demonstrates grace, gratitude, confidence, and competence in working with others.
- Stay current with changing technology, including software programs.
- Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures.
- Perform basic HR compliance on-demand support via phone and email
- Perform technical HCM audit for HR Services clients analyzing if they're maximizing the use of their HCM functionality based on company size, industry, operating state(s), etc.
- Guide clients in mandatory reporting obligations and submit mandatory reporting (ex. OSHA and EEO-1)
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the individual in this position must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required.
- Proven effective oral and written communications skills.
- Strong skills in using Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel and Word) and Adobe Pro.
- Have excellent customer service and relationship-building skills. Be professional and approachable, with the ability to provide quality customer service to multiple diverse work groups.
- Have strong time management skills. Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Must be able to handle disruptions without allowing them to affect delivery of quality and timely services.
- Be detail-oriented, accurate, organized, and proficient in working with HR documents (handbooks, position descriptions, forms, etc.) and HCM functionality.
- Able to work independently, be a self-starter and collect and analyze data, as well as problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
Education/Experience:
- Associate's Degree (A.A) from a two-year college or university required; Bachelor's Degree preferred; and a minimum of two (2) to four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- PHR and/or SHRM-CP -preferred
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
