Summary/objective

As a critical leader within isolved's rapidly expanding Business Development team, the Senior Director of Business Development will drive strategic initiatives, elevate performance, and scale demand generation efforts to new heights. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our sales pipeline, introducing innovative strategies, and leveraging advanced tools and technologies to create opportunities at scale. As a Senior Director, you will lead and inspire a high-performing team, collaborating closely with Demand Generation, Marketing, and Sales Leadership to ensure seamless integration of efforts and alignment with corporate objectives. The position offers a unique opportunity to influence isolved's market presence while fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and growth.


Core Job Duties

  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for Business Development, driving growth in inbound lead conversion and outbound prospecting at scale.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Business Development leaders, enabling them to improve performance metrics, implement process enhancements, and scale prospecting activities.
  • Partner with Demand Generation Teams to set strategy, achieve monthly goals, and optimize lead quality and opportunity conversion rates.
  • Oversee the CRM strategy, reinforcing best practices in lead management, system usage, and process feedback to improve functionality and usability.
  • Design and implement advanced training programs for prospecting strategies, research tactics, and nurturing techniques for team members.
  • Drive collaboration with Sales Leadership to ensure seamless funnel and pipeline flow, delivering high-quality discovery meetings and handovers.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to Demand Generation and Sales Leadership, influencing campaign strategies, channels, and services to accelerate sales velocity.
  • Empower leaders to cultivate networks and foster relationships within assigned markets or geographic areas, building a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to assess team performance, identify growth opportunities, and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Serve as a role model for high-energy leadership, fostering a productive, detail-oriented, and highly accountable team environment.

Job Complexity

Requires in-depth knowledge of the functional area, business strategies, and the company's goals.

Supervision

Directs and controls the activities of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups or service areas through senior managers who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of those assigned areas. Clear expertise as a manager, leader, and operator.


Experience

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of direct experience, with 8+ years of leadership experience. May require advanced degree.


Scope

Develops corporate and/or organizational policies and authorizes their implementation. Detailed knowledge of company allows for innovative concepts and promoting new ideas. Provides direction to senior managers in various areas, groups, and/or operations. Recognized as an influential leader. Drives significant impact and improvements across their function; strategically plans for how people and processes scale.

Erroneous decisions will have a long-term effect on the company's success.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.
  • Seven or more years of leadership experience in business development or call center operations, with a proven track record of exceeding goals and scaling teams.
  • Extensive experience in mentoring and developing leaders and teams, with a focus on performance improvement and career growth.
  • Strong strategic thinking abilities with a deep understanding of business processes, demand generation, and pipeline management.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and listening skills, with the ability to inspire and drive results across teams.
  • Proficiency in managing and optimizing sales enablement platforms and CRM systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends and leverage insights to refine strategies and drive innovation.
  • High-energy leader with a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for isolved's mission, our customers, and the broader HCM technology landscape.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
