Summary/objective
The Senior Director, Demand Marketing leads the strategy, execution, and performance of marketing programs that generate pipeline and drive revenue growth. This role is accountable for building scalable, multi-channel campaigns that target influencer buying groups, with an emphasis on partner-influenced opportunities. The Senior Director will manage a team of marketers responsible for campaign development, channel execution, reporting, and optimization-working cross-functionally with Sales, Partner Revenue, Solution Marketing, and Brand.
Core Job Duties
- Develop and execute integrated demand generation strategies across paid, owned, and earned channels to drive qualified pipeline
- Lead quarterly campaign planning and ensure alignment with sales goals, segmentation, and COI-led growth strategy
- Oversee execution of digital, email, content syndication, field, and ABM campaigns targeting key industries and buyer groups
- Partner with Revenue Operations to track funnel performance, optimize conversion rates, and report ROI
- Align closely with Sales and Partner teams to ensure marketing programs are actionable, timely, and enable meaningful engagement
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team responsible for campaign delivery, channel operations, and field support
- Collaborate with Product Marketing and Creative to develop campaign themes, messaging, and assets
- Implement and iterate on lead nurturing, scoring, and handoff processes to improve MQL-to-SQL conversion
- Maintain strong channel expertise and keep current with trends, tools, and technologies that support scalable growth
- Own and manage budgets, forecast results, and proactively identify areas for investment or optimization
Job Complexity
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
Interaction
Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
Supervision
Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area, typically through several department managers within the company. Strong understanding of people management strategies and how to develop leaders in their function to be successful. Builds and supports high functioning, motivated teams. Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.
Experience
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of direct experience, with 8+ years of leadership experience. May require advanced degree.
Scope
Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations effective achievement of objectives. Able to lead and support their function while continually achieving impact and improvements across all areas.
Discretion
Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of functional, division, or company operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in B2B marketing with a focus on pipeline generation
- 3+ years in a leadership role managing people and cross-functional initiatives
- Expertise in digital marketing channels, ABM, and campaign orchestration
- Proficiency with HubSpot, Salesforce, and marketing analytics platforms
- Strong analytical and communication skills with a bias for execution
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions in a matrixed environment
- Experience supporting sales teams and translating marketing activity into revenue outcomes
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
