About this Role

The Proposal Manager will ensure that company proposals are fully executed from start to finish. This involves coordinating the proposal process, managing the team of technical writers to prepare the proposals, and presenting them to clients. The Proposal Manager will plan, outline each stage of the proposal, and create a schedule to meet all necessary deadlines. The Proposal Manager will delegate tasks and gather resources and the expertise of other employees to succeed in the proposal process.

What you'll be doing

  • Write compelling written proposals that accurately convey solution capabilities.
  • Maintain deep understanding of product technical features and key value propositions, including multiple vertical markets, multiple platforms, and products.
  • Builds cross-functional project teams with stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), sales leaders, solution consultants, product managers, product marketing, IT, legal, implementation, customer support, and customer success.
  • Manage the project team, dispersing information and overseeing the production of all parts of proposals.
  • Ensure team meets deadlines and quality standards.
  • Maintain deep understanding of industry needs and competitive advantages of company solutions.
  • Manage and monitor RFP knowledgebase (RFP360) to identify RFPs that match our solutions.
  • Understand competitive bidding landscape through RFP databases and client debrief program.
  • Analyze department performance metrics (KPIs) and make recommendations for process improvement.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree preferably with a communications, marketing, or business focus.
  • Minimum 5 years proven experience managing sales proposals that convert to opportunities and wins.
  • Strong business writing ability with technical and proposal writing experience.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Experience writing technical RFP and RFI response strategy, creation, and execution.
  • HCM SaaS industry knowledge is required.
  • Fluency with CRMs (SugarCRM, Salesforce, etc.) and RFP software (RFP360, Loopio, etc.) preferred.
  • Expert Knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Strategic thinker that takes ownership.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong planning skills, vision, and creativity.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Location: This position will be based in the USA (office or virtual).
