Summary/Objective

The Reconciliation Resolution Team Lead is an individual contributor role reporting to the Manager, Reconciliation Resolution. Primary responsibilities are to identify and coordinate the distribution of clients out of balance by quarter and/or year to the resolution team. Equally important is to coordinate the workload associated with Treasury Cancellation cases. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, the team leader is also responsible for ensuring SOPs for the resolution role tasks are written and maintained. Lastly has a very active hand in training resolution specialists.


Core Job Duties

  • Coordinate the allocation of OUT of Balance clients to the resolution specialist based on priority.

Working from the most current year back from the highest variance to the lowest variance

  • Maintain accurate records/reconciliation logs for each isolved environment.
  • Review and coordinate the distribution of Treasury Cancellation cases based on priority.

( 1) Critical 2) Major and 3) Low. With an overall objective of having open cases under 100

  • Actively research and resolve variances and treasury cases alongside of resolution team.
  • Work with tax agencies and tax department as needed to amended returns, move credits to a different quarter and issues payments as needed to resolve the variance.
  • Interact with clients as needed to provide clarity on reconciliation reports and/or adjusting transactions.
  • Document and maintain SOPs for tasks performed by resolution specialists.
  • Train employees in accordance with tasks listed on resolution specialist job description.
  • Responsible for running team meetings as needed to discuss.

  • Actively participate and promote teamwork with everyone you encounter.
  • Perform self-evaluations and goals as set by your superior.
  • Other projects as assigned by your manager.

Job Complexity

A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization. Emerging understanding of broader organizational context and goals. Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. This role requires a unique skill set. Must have a solid working knowledge of how payroll tax is paid and reconciled with the tax agencies as well as a solid understanding of funds are collected and paid on a client's behalf. Must have at minimum, an Intermediate level of Excel knowledge.


Interaction

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise. Interacts externally with clients and tax agencies.


Supervision

Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.


Experience

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or equivalent work experience.


Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 5 years in treasury and tax filing role
  • Detail oriented, self-starter who has experience with payroll tax returns and deposit frequencies.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.

Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
