Quality Assurance Manager

The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will oversee activities of the quality assurance department within the Development organization. This includes staffing, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for isolved's products throughout the software development lifecycle.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Reports to Director of QA
  • Hires and trains quality assurance staff.
  • Supervises QA Team leads, QA Test Engineers daily workflow and schedules of the department.
  • Works with Director of QA with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates tools and operating procedures to improve existing methods of operation.
  • Develop and manage QA metrics via Azure Dashboards
  • Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
  • Communicates quality standards and parameters to QA team, product development team, and product management team.
  • Coordinates product testing processes.
  • Works with Product Owners to develop project schedules and resource allocations.
  • Participates in product testing.
  • Works with Director in developing and managing of processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
  • Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
  • Reviews client, customer, and user feedback.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the Quality Assurance field with 3 years minimum lead or management experience required.
  • Managing QA teams and processes using Agile methodology.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Azure Dev Ops (or other software project management tool), and other related QA testing software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
