HR Project Manager Location: Any
Job Summary:
Under limited direct supervision, this position assures the successful management and delivery of individual and team human resources-related projects that strengthen organizational, leadership and staff capabilities. The person in this position is considered the internal People Services change manager who will help identify projects, drive project delivery, and report on project success to internal stakeholders.
Core Job Duties:
- Participate in, and at times, lead the design, development, and implementation of programs/projects.
- Work both independently and collaboratively with People Services team members in identifying, planning, and implementing strategic objectives and operational projects that are in alignment with organizational priorities and emerging needs. The primary focus will be internal projects, but occasionally the Project Manager may be asked to help with exceptional high touch client facing projects.
- Build project plans by generating creative and effective solutions; evaluating options; creating tasks, dependencies, goals, and timelines.
- Using appropriate software, manage (primarily) their own projects, objectives, tasks, and milestones and (secondarily) other team member's project statuses.
- Drive projects to ensure that priorities are met while ensuring project(s) goal and objectives are aligned with organizational priorities. Mitigate risks and escalate issues, as needed.
- Effectively engage with People Services leadership, team members, and broader isolved teams such as IT, Tax, Support, and others. Build relationships and cultivate confidence and trust with key stakeholders and with other team members.
- Effectively communicate progress, delays and concerns and engage with collaborators within the People Services department.
- Hold self and other team members accountable. Initiate and communicate appropriate corrective measures to the plan(s) when needed to ensure success.
- Develop and deliver effective written and oral communications, presentations, work instructions and training materials.
- In performing the above responsibilities, this position will:
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers to promote a quality service image.
- Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency/effectiveness, and.
- Document and maintain standards, work instructions, procedures, and logs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High integrity professional who is passionate about project management and human resources.
- Excellent time management skills and proven project management skills. Must be able to handle disruptions without allowing them to affect delivery of quality and timely services.
- Excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment working independently, demonstrating resourcefulness, functioning as a self-starter, asking "unasked questions," collecting and analyzing applicable information, determining a course of action, executing plans to completion and continuously improving quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Proven effective oral, written, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- A successful customer service track record in-person, via email and over the phone (preferably demonstrated in support of non-technical users). Proven ability to build and maintain relationships, at all levels of an organization.
- Professionalism and approachability regardless of circumstances.
- A proven track record of maintaining confidentiality.
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in Communications, Human Resources (or similar field). Although no previous HR experience is required, individuals with a bachelor's degree in HR, particularly with HRIS experience, is preferred. Work experience may substitute for advanced education.
