Job Description

The Manager, UX Design will be an experienced and creative user interface designer with people management experience. This role is responsible for leading and managing a team of US designers to deliver outstanding user experiences across our portfolio of products. The manager will be involved in setting design standards, providing guidance, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the overall quality of the UX design process.

Core Job Duties

Team Leadershiop

• Recruit, hire, train, and mentor a team of UX designers
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture within the team
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
• Encourage professional development and growth among team members

UX Strategy

• Develop and implement a UX strategy in alignment with isolved's business goals
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define project objectives and requirements
• Conduct user research and gather insights to inform design decisions
• Set standards and guidelines for the team

UX/UI Designer

• Work with business analysts to define user personas and flows
• Collaborate on scenarios, end-to-end experiences, and screen functionality
• Build wireframes and storyboards to conceptualize design
• Create and implement prototypes, low fidelity and high fidelity user design specifications
• Identify user needs and business requirements as inputs to design and facilitate user mapping principles for cross-functional teams
• Rapidly iterate on design prototypes and working applications executing all visual design stages from concept, to wireframe, and UI hand off for development
• Define visual elements, product elements, and overall style guide for products
• Provide design support during development and execution to ensure designs are implemented accurately and with the highest standards
• Leverage data and consumer insights to validate UX approach
• Work with engineering, frontend and backend developers as needed to realize design objectives
• Determine timeline and deliverables

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in interaction Design, Architecture, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• Proven experience with UI design with portfolio of sample projects
• 7-8 years' previous experience in web application UX or UI design, or related position
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum processes
• Experience with visual design programs such as Photoshop or Illustrator
• Experience with wireframing, storyboard, user flow, and prototyping tools
• Experience using design tools like Sketch, Figma required
• Adobe XD experience, preferred
• In-depth understanding of UX design principles
• Knowledge of latest design and technology trends and their use in a commercial environment
• Demonstrated experience implementing WCAG accessibility guidelines
• Artistic eye for design, user interaction, functionality, and readability
• Able to think creatively while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Problem-solving skills to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently, working independently and as part of the team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with all stakeholders and collaborators
