Job Description
The Manager, Business Systems will have a multifaceted role directing the implementation and management of business information systems across the isolved suite. The manager will oversee a team of Business System Analysts, playing a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the various business systems used at isolved. This person will possess a mix of technical expertise, and problem-solving skills, and will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with various teams within the organization. The manager will need a strong foundation in IT and a commitment to continuous learning to keep up with the evolving technology landscape.
Core Job Duties
- Serve as the primary technical resource, working collaboratively across multiple functional areas from conception to implementation of business systems changes
- Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data
- Lead implementation, configuration, and/or optimization efforts
- Identify gaps and provide technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications, and scale systems, processes, and procedures
- Liaise between IT and leaders across the company to gain sufficient understanding of their business needs to be able to translate into technical requirements
- Lead and guide Business System Analyst (BSA) team and consultants in performing day to day administrative functions to monitor and maintain system integrity, design system networks, and improve processes and procedures based on business needs
- Stay up to date on industry trends and work closely with the BSA team to analyze current business processes, recommending improvements based on those trends and professional knowledge
- Liaise between executive and senior leaders to provide direction to BSA team related to business cases and technical justifications
- Lead and participate in creation of operations procedures, production releases, and system administration to increase efficiency and productivity
- Participate in evaluation and selection of vendors and assist in managing relationships
- Lead troubleshooting and training initiatives carried out by the BSA team
- Document system requirements, define scope and objectives, and assist in the creation of system specifications that drive system development and implementation
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics and measure the effectiveness of related efforts
- Oversee data accuracy, integrity, and compliance through audits and assessments.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field
- Strong programming background and expertise in applications development
- Administrator-level knowledge of roles, permissions, page layouts, custom objects, reports, and dashboards
- Ability to build basic business system workflows
- Ability to teach and train users through effective phone and email communications
- Experience working with databases and data management
- 2+ years' proven experience effectively leading and directing a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
