Job Summary:

This position has primary responsibilities as the main point of contact for assigned clients in communicating, processing, administering, troubleshooting and solving issues related to benefits and payroll administration. In completing responsibilities, the person in this position accurately and timely processes payroll for assigned clients at isolved People Services and administers employee benefits including new enrollments, beneficiary changes, benefit plan change processing, dealing with benefit vendors on behalf of clients, handling COBRA/healthcare continuation issues, processing leaves of absence, etc.

Essential Requirements:

Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.


  • Maintaining ongoing communication with clients and employees to obtain payroll data such as employee demographics, salary adjustments, special payments, tax allocations, employee deductions, etc.; and assuring client information and employee data is accurate and up to date in the payroll system.
  • Accurately entering and/or assuring all payroll-related data (including new hires, status changes, and termination information) necessary to timely and accurately process payroll.
  • Approving and submitting payroll on behalf of client (dependent on client relationship)
  • Solving problems concerning payroll and timekeeping, answering inquires and enforcing payroll policies.
  • Remaining current with the payroll processing system and changes in wage and tax laws. Corresponding or assuring that correspondence with key stakeholders.
  • Administering employee benefit programs. Performing daily and on-demand benefit processing to include enrollments, COBRA, terminations, life events changes, beneficiary updates, disability, accident and death claims, leave management (including FMLA), rollovers, distributions, loans, hardship, compliance testing, etc. May prepare or be involved in preparing census, Form 5500 and other compliance reports.
  • Serving as contact for clients, employees, benefit plan vendors, and third-party administrators. Resolving administrative issues with carrier representatives. Ensuring employees understand their benefits package and that plans operate smoothly.
  • Verifying the calculation of monthly premiums statements for group insurance policies and maintains data relative to premiums, claims, and costs and reconciling monthly billings.
  • Maintain total confidentiality with customer information.
  • Ability to learn HR practices to further personal career pathing.
  • Work toward continuous quality improvement.
  • Stay current with changing technology, including software programs.
  • Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures.

Education/Experience:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Human Resources or similar field; and two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.

Location: Remote
