HR Intern

Location: Dubuque, IA


Job Summary:

The HR Intern will provide various administrative and project support to the department while providing phone triage to People Services customers. This individual will have a wide range of important duties in a fast-paced environment.


Core Job Duties:

  • Assist in identifying legal and governmental reporting regulations affecting HR practices and ensuring that client policies, procedures and processes are in compliance.
  • Research a variety of HR topics across multiple jurisdictions for the Defined and Custom HR teams as needed.
  • Handle customer phone and email support through HR help desk, in conjunction with HR Associates/Consultants, while adhering to department KPIs. Know when to escalate to an HR Consultant or Business Partner.
  • Support in development of various department projects
  • Assist HR Associates with customer invoice reconciliations; ensure close attention to detail for accuracy purposes.
  • File customer employee documents.
  • Maintain working knowledge of isolved modules and functionality for People Services deliverables (i.e. house employee handbook in isolved Employee Message).
  • Maintain total confidentiality with client information.
  • Ability to learn HR practices to further personal career pathing.
  • Work toward continuous quality improvement.
  • Stay current with changing technology, including software programs.
  • Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Intermediate MS Office experience required.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills required.

Education and Experience:

  • Must be working towards, or have recently received, a degree from an accredited college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
