Job Description

The isolved IT Governance Analyst is responsible for achieving team objectives for the IT cybersecurity leadership team. This role works closely with internal teammates to ensure adequate, efficient, and consistent adherence to the IT/Cyber Security Guidelines. Recommend and implement related governance methodologies to analyze and develop policies, standards, processes, and procedures for the IT/Cybersecurity team. Apply process and control knowledge to meet compliance requirements.


Core Job Duties

  • Perform or assist in security reviews and identify security gaps in security architecture, providing analysis and recommendations for inclusion in risk mitigation strategy.
  • Perform or assist in cyber defense trend analysis and reporting
  • Correlate incident data to identify specific vulnerabilities and offer recommendations to enable remediation
  • Ensure compliance with the data governance policies and standards across the enterprise to protect customer, enterprise, and network partner data
  • Support the review and refinement process of the existing data governance policies and standards periodically
  • Create and present meaningful data governance metrics to senior leaders

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in data governance, cyber security, protection governance, risk & compliance.
  • Ability to evaluate, analyze, and synthesize large quantities of data (which may be fragmented and contradictory) into high-quality, fused targeting/intelligence products.
  • Experience in Cybersecurity, preferably with risk identification and management, audit and compliance, policy development and maintenance, evaluation of control requirements, security, and related industry regulatory issues
  • Knowledge in validating the organization against policies, guidelines, procedures, regulations, and laws to ensure compliance
  • Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk).
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of IT and Cybersecurity policy analysis in relation to the NIST framework and other industry-accepted standards
  • Ability to navigate and effectively handle ambiguity
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Competency in the use of IT and Cybersecurity tools, procedures, and research capabilities
  • Familiarity with the administration of tools and technologies for SEIM, CASB, MDR, DLP, etc., a must.
  • Fortinet Network Security Expert certification (NSE) or equivalent experience required minimum
  • CISSP or other related cybersecurity, risk, and compliance certifications
  • 7+ years of related experience preferably with 3+ years working in governance, risk & compliance.
  • ITIL Certifications
  • COBIT Training & Certifications
  • IT governance, risk, and compliance experience
  • Certification in audit and risk management discipline
  • Experienced in reviewing service performance reports, identifying any significant issues and variances, initiating, where necessary, corrective actions, and ensuring that all outstanding issues are mitigated
  • Expert in Cybersecurity, with risk identification and management, audit and compliance, policy development and maintenance, evaluation of control requirements, security, and related industry regulatory issues
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or three years and a Master's degree or a Ph.D. without experience or equivalent work experience.
