Human Resources Technical Consultant

Summary: This position is responsible for analyzing the needs of our HCM clients and the implementation and training of our clients on the use of iSolved functionality in relation to HR, benefits administration, workflows, and onboarding. Other duties include coordinating carrier connections between TPAs and vendors, as well as integrating COBRA, FSA, HSA plans with Infinisource Benefit Services.

As part of iSolved implementation, this position should identify opportunities for cross sales of HR Consulting and Infinisource Benefits Services and be consultative during the process.

Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.

  • Understand HRIS and possess the ability to identify, troubleshoot and correct client specific needs
  • Deliver group and individual instruction and training at varying levels within organizations
  • Manage implementations according to project plan to ensure timelines are met
  • Ability to interpret existing processes and anticipate future needs of clients as it relates to payroll, human resource management, and benefits systems and tracking
  • Use effective problem solving skills to resolve client questions
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients, supervisors, and project team members which may include the progress of client projects and identifying process improvement and on time deliverables
  • Work with third party vendors on joint client engagements and assist with questions related to the relationship between the two systems
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for improving HR processes through the use of iSolved and third party vendors
  • Work with third party vendor and client's TPA on carrier connections
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with varying deadlines to complete projects
  • Communicate effectively both in written and verbal formats
  • Maintain a basic understanding of HR Compliance, HR generalist knowledge and OSHA laws as well as reporting requirements
  • Comprehend benefits concepts/models and various human resources and payroll processes
  • Basic understanding of benefit plan offerings and rate structure to include, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurances, disability insurances and flex spending and health savings accounts.
  • Knowledge of ACA and 1095 reporting
  • Work toward continuous quality improvement
  • Stay current with changing technology, including software programs
  • Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the Human Resources Technical Consultant must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • MS Word and proficient Excel experience required.
  • Payroll/HRIS system expertise preferred.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

    • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
    • Membership in National (SHRM) and local HR associations preferred
    • Valid Driver's License

    Language Skills:

    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
    • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
    • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
    • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

    Mathematical Skills:

    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
    • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Reasoning Ability:

    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
