Human Resources Consultants

Summary: This individual will possess knowledge of Human Resources and perform and complete some or all phases of client HRIS technical needs in the iSolved system on our clients' behalf, encouraging them to utilize and engage in the technology to maximize productivity and efficiencies.  The HR Consultant is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and resolving Human Resource (HR) related projects and issues with clients.  My be assigned account manager responsibility.

 

Essential Duties:  Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.

 

External (clients):

  • Interpret existing processes and anticipate future needs of clients as it relates to the holistic view/understanding of a human capital management system
  • Set up and maintain client benefits, open enrollment and human resource employee records in iSolved
  • Run and interpret various iSolved reports to provide accurate data for benefit carriers, federal reporting obligations and/or various client needs
  • Input all employee demographic changes on the clients' behalf into iSolved including new hires, terminations and changes
  • Work closely with assigned team members to ensure all payroll administration and payroll audit processes are followed on a continuous basis and in accordance with federal/state law
  • Assist clients with HRIS troubleshooting through fielded calls or as requested by HR Business Partner
  • Utilize iSolved to reconcile client benefit invoicing on a monthly basis, attention to detail required.
  • Build thorough understanding of iSolved technology to recommend efficient workflows/enhancement to current client processes on an ongoing basis.
  • Identify iSolved module upsell opportunities
  • Perform various client HR consulting and support services
  • Conduct HR Audits, Wage & Salary Surveys, and Employee Surveys, as needed, analyze data in conjunction with HR Business Partner
  • Draft/oversee client policies, procedures, and position descriptions as needed  
  • Identify legal and governmental reporting regulations affecting HR practices and ensuring that client policies, procedures and processes are in compliance.  Share all knowledge with internal team/firm administration
  • Understand workforce planning, employee communications and culture, professional development, organizational development, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, utilizing HR metrics to analyze impact
  • Conduct various research as it relates to client and departmental needs
  • Plan, develop, conduct and mentor client personnel in HR activities, requirements, and processes
  • Advise client of potential HR risks and impact of business decisions
  • Assist in client recruitment activities and services
  • Attend HR and other professional meetings, seminars and conferences as necessary to maintain certification (if applicable) and represent the firm for HR Consulting endorsement.
  • Maintain employee time and expense entries; conform to organization standards and expectations by tracking billable client activity
  • Work toward continuous quality improvement
  • Stay current with changing technology, including software programs
  • Uphold, support and promote all company policies and procedures

 

 

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, the Human Resources Consultant must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required. 

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience with iSolved or other HRIS highly desirable
  • High technical aptitude required
  • MS Office experience required; advanced Excel beneficial

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Membership in National (SHRM) and local (TRIHRA) HR associations preferred
  • Valid Driver's License

 

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

 

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
