Summary/objective

The HR Generalist will provide true generalist level HR support and engage in the development, planning, and implementation of employee relations policies and procedures. Provide human resources support by leading daily HR administrative processes, onboarding administration and training, and ad hoc reporting. Act as lead to the HR support team and support best practice direction for peers. Perform routine tasks to administer and execute human resource programs and processes including but not limited to on/off-boarding; merit and promotion, compensation, disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, morale; and learning and development. The generalist will collaborate and contribute to the updating and maintaining the employee handbook.


Core Job Duties

  • Mitigate risk by promptly and thoroughly addressing and investigating employee concerns, recommend appropriate courses of action, and ensure effective communication with all parties; escalate complex issues to the Human Resources Business Partner.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Provide coaching and guidance on pre-disciplinary actions; and review disciplinary action documents and performance improvement plans with managers.
  • Provide effective coaching to managers on team and employee development, and the management of employee performance to achieve targeted business goals.
  • Assist with annual performance review process.
  • Conduct Exit interviews, Stay/Retention interviews, and focus groups.
  • Prepare exit documents including separation agreements.
  • Maintain HRIS with employee information on disciplinary action documentation, training, reviews, etc.
  • Oversight of data integrity and auditing active and historic employee records in compliance with current retention policies.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partner and business leaders to revise and maintain job descriptions.
  • Support HR Business Partners in the development and communication of companywide development or engagement programs and initiatives affirming isolved culture, vision and mission.
  • Review compensation analysis related to job leveling and benchmarking data.
  • Update employee handbook; assisting with development and implementation of best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains knowledge of and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to ensure compliance.
  • Produce and submit ad hoc reports via HCM.
  • Partner with Leave Administrator to oversee the return-to-work process for employees returning from extended FML, STD, workers' compensation, or other leaves.
  • Maintain knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws
  • Support Human Resources Business Partner in all aspects of HR operation.
