HR Associate

Summary: This individual is responsible for supporting HR Business Partners with customer projects and needs.  HR Associates serve as the technical experts of the team while facilitating basic HR questions through our help desk. Enhanced knowledge of iSolved HCM functionality is required.

 

Essential Duties:  Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.

 

  • Handle payroll garnishment setup for customers in Pro tier of service; ensure state and federal DOL compliance.
  • Maintain working knowledge of multi-state employment law compliance to better identify legal and governmental reporting regulations to best serve all iSolved customers.
  • Be liaison for benefit support for customers.
  • Play major component in HCM and HR Efficiency Implementation project.
  • Assist with customer position descriptions.
  • Continue to oversee and facilitate legacy managed payroll and consolidated billing business while supported by People Services.
  • Coordinate employee background check results for customers.
  • Handle customer phone and email support through HR help desk, in conjunction with HR Consultants, while adhering to department KPIs. Know when to escalate to an HR Consultant or Business Partner.
  • Assist with compliance research for in-depth customer questions or scenarios as requested by HR Consultant or Business Partner.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of iSolved modules and functionality for customer upsell opportunities and to upload People Services deliverables to applicable iSolved location (i.e. new employee handbook into iSolved Employee Messages). Coach HR Business Partners on how to best maximize customer iSolved technology as needed.
  • Handle majority of Form I-9 Reviews for customers.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation as needed.
  • Maintain total confidentiality with customer information.
  • Ability to learn HR practices to further personal career pathing.
  • Serve as lead on customer invoice reconciliations; ensure a close attention to detail for accuracy purposes.
  • Assist with customer HR Gap Reviews as needed.
  • Work toward continuous quality improvement.
  • Stay current with changing technology, including software programs.
  • Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the individual in this position must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and a minimum of one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP -highly desirable
  • FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional)- preferred

 

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

 

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
