BRIEF STATEMENT OF THE PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION

 

HCM Benefit Team Lead is responsible for assisting the Sr. Manager in maintaining the daily activities, ensuring efficient processes and provide leadership to a team of Benefit Specialist.

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

 

  • Lead daily activities of the team to guarantee that all work is completed timely with attention to detail to meet quality standards and goals
  • Ensures that team processes a variety of benefit plan information (COBRA, retirement, FSA, medical, dental, vision) for the purpose of ensuring plans are established according to client summary plan descriptions, eligibility and termination rules
  • Coordinates with COBRA, FSA and development and integration teams to ensure system requirements are met and integration of all system feeds are working efficiently
  • Assist in researching discrepancies and reporting between systems and resolves inaccuracies
  • Manages the team of BS in assisting customers and Customer Support team with Open enrollment set up
  • Manages the ACA process for annual filings to the IRS
  • Assist in developing ACA training for internal and external teams
  • Assist the BS team in identifying issues that need resolution for Customer ACA filing completion
  • Collaborate with peers to establish best practices
  • Mentor team members and identify development needs and coordinate additional training
  • Track various metrics to ensure that established levels are achieved
  • Manage escalated issues and provide direction
  • Build strong customer relationships
  • Function as a consultant and business partner with other groups internally and externally
  • Evaluate BS on performance and complete performance review
  • Develop and administer corrective action and performance improvement plans
  • Collaborate with Sr. Manager on team development and succession planning
  • Adheres to company and departmental policies

 

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR THIS POSITION

  • BA/BS required or equivalent education and business experience

 

 

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

 

  • 3 years of experience in payroll industry and benefits role
  • 1 years of experience in people leadership
  • Demonstrated strong technical aptitude and capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in English
  • Demonstrated success in a role requiring strong attention to details, teamwork, and initiative
  • Demonstrated passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience
  • Software experience, preferably in a SaaS environment
