Summary

Reporting to the Events & Operations Sr. Manager, this position is responsible for managing and organizing a variety of events, meetings, tradeshows, and conferences throughout the year. We are seeking an enthusiastic event manager with a "can-do" attitude to assist our organization in hosting events that enhance our organization's image and improves customer loyalty, advocacy and our brand-to-customer experience.

The event manager will be tasked with researching and securing venues, planning and managing our event's calendar, negotiating quotes and agreements with vendors, assisting with event marketing, monitoring timeframes and budgets, networking, and delivering on event objectives. Your creativity, organizational skills, and vision will assist our organization in amplifying brand visibility, enhancing client and employee relations, and improving our organization's growth through events that effectively communicate business strategy and brand personality.

The ideal candidate for this role should demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, superb interpersonal skills, multi-tasking skills and excellent time-management.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Understanding requirements for each event, planning with attention to budget and time constraints.
  • Coordinating and negotiating the booking of, and event details, with venues/vendors.
  • Managing all event operations – prepping venue, communications, promotion, etc.
  • Preparing regular event reports and budgets by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information.
  • Fostering and maintaining positive working relationships with all stakeholders to support and meet defined event goals.
  • Partnering with appropriate team members and vendors to ensure the successful development and execution of events – internally and externally.
  • Supporting operational goals and logistics, including but not limited to rooming blocks, shipments, layouts, event orders, onsite needs, app development, AV needs, etc.
  • Establishing methods to track event success and gather feedback. Developing and maintaining historical data and information for event analysis.
  • Overseeing event details and acting quickly to escalate or resolve any issues.
  • Managing and drafting promotional event communications and social.

Essential Requirements

  • Ability to coordinate events of various sizes and see them through to completion.
  • Able to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Excellent organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Solid analytical and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent customer-service and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines, maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Build and adhere to budgets.
  • Travel required 25%
  • Proficiency in MS Office'Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Marketing and/or Event Planning required.
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or related field desired.
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification is a plus, but not required.

Work Environment

Normal working conditions require normal to close concentration, visual attention and manual dexterity. Lifting requirements 25/30lbs. Moderate noise.
