Enterprise Program Manager

The Enterprise Program Manager drives successful completion of strategic technology initiatives and programs by leading and tracking progress toward critical milestones throughout the planning, scheduling, and implementation phases. This individual will focus on driving outcomes across multiple teams and stakeholders across the entire organization, which is typically done by coordinating with stakeholders and team leaders through meetings and progress measurement activities.  Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills in meeting objectives is paramount in this role, as is a strong professional reputation and a high level of work ethic and excellence, transparency and openness.  The Program Manager provides centralized management of one or more portfolios, or collections of projects or programs that are grouped together to facilitate effective management of the work.  Activities include identifying, prioritizing, managing, and controlling projects and programs to achieve specific strategic business objectives. The employee works within general methods and procedures and exercises considerable independent judgment to select proper courses of action.  This person will be a highly self-motivated team member that is a strong communicator, has exceptional customer service orientation and can exercise strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.

 

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership and direction to the functional team so that tasks and activities are coordinated for project scope control, quality control, communication management, change control management, risk management and issue management.
  • Adopts internal delivery methodologies (ITIL, Agile, Kanban) with measured success criteria to deliver continuous, iterative value
  • Adopts best practices (ITSM/ITIL) for improved support & servicing.
  • Establishes and monitors program priorities, objectives, and procedures, determining area objectives, targets of service, and resource needs allocation.
  • Manages and oversees short, long-term and/or multiple complex projects.
  • Develops project scope, cost estimates, human resource requirements, work plans, time schedules, communication plans, and makes work assignments to meet project or program objectives.
  • Develops and maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work.
  • Serves as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders/users concerning requests, standards, and other program and project matters.
  • Provides input on project team member performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
  • Coordinates work activities by scheduling staff assignments, setting the work priorities, and directing the
  • work of assigned employees, including vendor or contractors.
  • Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures that training is obtained, when necessary.
  • Rationalizes redundant tool investments & defines investment & cost reduction strategies

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of Project Management principles, concepts and practices.
  • Ability to gather and analyze facts, draw conclusions, define problems, and suggest solutions.
  • Ability to communicate the needs of others effectively.
  • Ability to conduct training and informational sessions.
  • Ability to maintain favorable public relations and perform problem/issue resolution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, build consensus, facilitate working sessions, and negotiate solutions and alternatives.
  • Thorough knowledge of advanced concepts and basic operating principles of data communications and information systems hardware and software.
  • Ability to resolve conflicting high-priority requirements.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong computer, proofreading, research and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to work professionally and independently on assigned tasks and to complete assignments in a timely manner with great attention to detail.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with corporate c-level, vendors and all levels of staff.
  • Proficiency at creating technical documentation for projects and procedures utilizing Microsoft collaboration tools.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Has the ability to liaise with different departments and multiple business disciplines.

 

Location: This position will be based in the USA (office or remote) and will require minimal travel.

Duration: This is a full time, permanent position.
