seeking an outstanding talent in the following position:
Director, Sales Training and Enablement
A world-class sales team doesn't just happen, regardless of how good our product is,
even the best sellers need support in order to perform at the top of their game.
That's why sales training and enablement plays a very important central role within
our sales organization and takes responsibility for gearing up our direct and channel
sales teams for market success. As Director of Sales Training and Enablement
reporting to the VP, Sales Operations, you will serve as a primary HCM subject matter
expert with the goal of replicating that knowledge in a repeatable way.
Working alongside our product, education and marketing teams, you will be responsible
for providing consistently high quality on-site and online employee education, as
well implementing a training curriculum, presenting at meetings, continued updates to
content, and ensuring our sales teams are expert and real-time users of CRM and other
sales tools. This is an exciting new role and provides the opportunity to lead the
development of new sales training and sales enablement programs as well incorporating
existing approaches and materials. Ideally, candidates will have previous experience
as a learning and development professional, as well as strong organizational, sales,
and coaching experience.
Goals
1) Increase performance and effectiveness of sales representatives.
2) Winning and regularly refreshed sales training curriculum and content.
3) Enable sales representatives with systems and tools that are easy to access and
use.
4) Establish a learning experience platform (LXP) in support of a better employee
experience.
Principal Responsibilities
Develop course materials to enable sales representatives to best position
features/functionality.
Manage and coordinate training and development of all sales teams (new, base,
channel, etc).
Develop multi-threaded education to cover product training, sales enablement, new
hire onboarding, and ongoing skills development, as well as assisting with the
developing of training materials.
Work to identify new training needs, collaborating with internal stakeholders to
fully understand business goals, objectives, key projects, and performance
challenges.
Work cohesively with product, sales, education and marketing teams to ensure all
training needs are documented, developed, and continuously updated and improved.
Development of appropriate tools to meet and exceed the company's learning goals
and objectives.
Develop and report on key learning and development KPIs, education uptake and
success.
Ensure version control and access to training materials meet and ideally exceed
expectations.
Work with individual sales teams to identify areas of focus and develop plans to
address deficiencies.
Work with the education University team to improve the digital learning
experience.
Key Internal Customers
Work with sales and sales consultants to build HCM knowledge through training and
enablement.
Work with marketing to understand education in support of programs (e.g. industry
knowledge).
Work with product marketing on tools, calculators and other content (e.g. for
product launch).
Work with education to ensure classroom and digital training is aligned with the
broader University.
Essential Requirements
At least 5 years' experience as an educator providing hands on training.
Superior organizational skills, attention to detail with ability to multi-task.
Absolute passion for all things people-related, current trends in education,
learning and employee experience, and the future of work.
Ability to explain the complexities of HCM effectively to users of different
levels of tech savvy.
Knowledge of HCM technology covering areas such as payroll, benefits,
compensation, T&A, tax and expense management, employee experience, compliance,
learning, recruiting, employee well being, talent and workforce management.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing to people of all
levels, personality traits and learning styles.
Self-motivated performance driven professional able to operate individually.
Working knowledge of US payroll, tax and benefits legislation.
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft 365.
Location: This position will be based in the USA (office or remote) and will require
domestic travel (~30%).
Duration: This is a full time, permanent position.
