Summary/objective

The Director of Enterprise Sales is responsible for acquiring new high-revenue clients within the HCM software industry while also providing coaching and guidance to a team of Enterprise Sales Representatives. This position requires engaging with C-suite executives and decision-makers at large organizations, building relationships that drive substantial business growth. The role involves leveraging industry expertise to collaborate with named accounts and other strategic partners to generate sales. The role also involves acting as a resource for a team of Enterprise Sales Representatives to improve results through coaching and strategy debvelopment/execution. This position is crucial in expanding the company's presence within the enterprise market, where securing major contracts will significantly contribute to revenue goals.


Core Job Duties

  • Identify and engage with enterprise prospects, specifically targeting organizations with substantial annual revenue potential.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with high-level decision-makers within target organizations.
  • Consistently meet or exceed ambitious quarterly quota objectives.
  • Navigate complex sales cycles with enterprise clients, effectively managing multiple stakeholders and business units.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Sales, Marketing and Product Strategy to evolve our Go-To-Market strategy, messaging and content.
  • Measure the progress of the assigned Enterprise Sales Representatives and discuss with the SVP of Enterprise Sales during one-on-ones to identify opportunities for improvement and discuss strategies to maximize salesperson's potential.

Job Complexity

Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.


Interaction

Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.


Supervision

Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area, typically through several department managers within the company. Strong understanding of people management strategies and how to develop leaders in their function to be successful. Builds and supports high functioning, motivated teams. Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.


Experience

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of direct experience, with 8+ years of leadership experience. May require advanced degree.


Scope

Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations effective achievement of objectives. Able to lead and support their function while continually achieving impact and improvements across all areas.


Discretion

Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of functional, division, or company operations.



Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in HCM technology and SaaS sales, with a proven track record in enterprise sales.
  • Documented and extensive leadership experience required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade C-suite executives.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to independently drive sales initiatives.
  • Experience in managing long sales cycles and closing high-value contracts.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.


Travel Required

Yes, up to 15% domestic travel may be required.
