Development Services Manager
Marketing Developer
We are seeking to hire a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP) developer for our marketing team. Working under a senior developer and alongside a small team of designers, strategists, and writers, this position will assist with development of intuitive and user-friendly environments built on powerful back-end technologies. This role also includes front-end tasks like coding email campaigns, templates, and effective responsive landing pages, all in a fast-paced work environment. This position is involved in all areas of development from design to implementation to testing.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly motivated, and able to balance their own workload while supporting the marketing team. This candidate should understand systems/project standards and development plans and be able to produce timelines based on project goals.
The position will be part of a helpful and friendly marketing team that's open to suggestions and ways to improve. Organization and attention to detail is a must, while being able to multi-task.
Required Experience (in order of importance)
2+ years of PHP and MySQL experience
3+ years of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
1+ year(s) of Git, Linux Bash/Shell, and Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
Experience with object-oriented programming
Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Joomla, and/or Drupal
Experience with API use and integration
Preferred Experience
jQuery
Vue.js
CSS pre-compilers (Sass and/or LESS)
Email development for modern email clients
Analytics (split testing, reviewing metrics)
Individual project management (Agile, time tracking, release scheduling)
Experience with gamification (rewards, points, badges, etc)
SCORM compliance (educational development standard)
Automated code deployment
Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Package management
Unit testing
Web sockets and socket-based communication
