Job Description

The isolved Corporate Paralegal and Compliance Specialist will work across a variety of functional areas to support the organization's rapidly growing legal department on a variety of legal and compliance matters, helping to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.


Core Job Duties

  • Assists legal and compliance attorneys in day-to-day accountabilities of Legal and Compliance departments.
  • Manage quality control of legal documents.
  • Responsible for overall contract management, including but not limited to vendor, sales, and confidentiality agreements.
  • Oversee contract lifecycle.
  • Support litigation needs and respond to standard requests for documentation or records, including responses to subpoenas, e-discovery production, and managing records holds.
  • Participate in transactional due diligence.
  • Manage legal and compliance related projects and take responsibility for all aspects of the project lifecycle: planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery.
  • Monitor and review industry best practices.
  • Manage corporate licensing.
  • Provides research and analysis for a variety of compliance and legal matters to help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Identify relevant compliance reporting metrics and generate analysis and reports containing results of compliance testing; make recommendations to address or resolve regulatory gaps and deficiencies.
  • Document activities or processes designed to track or ensure compliance of organizational processes or functions.
  • Identify gaps in documentation, or potential areas of non-compliance, and suggest resolutions.
  • Maintains a repository of forms, handbooks, policies, or other documents needed to comply with applicable regulations or standards.
  • Investigate, resolve, and respond to complaints, as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of in-house, general practice experience, in addition to case research, litigation, compliance, and corporate governance experience.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Consummate professional with a deep appreciation for internal customer service.
  • Basic understanding of SaaS business model and software development.
  • Basic understanding of intellectual property law.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to seek support when appropriate.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced, hyper-growth environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Westlaw; experience with NetSuite preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree
