Job Description

The isolved compliance analyst position evaluates iSolved HCM's Payroll, Human Resource (HR) and Tax compliance. They will ensure the iSolved product adheres to Federal, State and local payroll tax rules and regulations and be the resource for all payroll and HR-related research and guidance.


Core Job Duties

  • Monitor and facilitate the implementation of regulatory payroll tax payment and reporting changes for all federal, state, and local agencies. Work closely with software development business analysts and developers to submit change requests and ensure implemented changes meet agency requirements.
  • Research, evaluate, recommend, and summarize compliance implications of new payroll, HR and payroll tax regulations and their projected effect on technology requirements in order to sustain high levels of compliance.
  • Evaluate, monitor, and approve compliance standards related to tax tables, tax data, tax forms, DOL regulations and other compliance drivers to ensure accuracy of payroll and payroll tax calculations to comply with laws and regulatory agencies.
  • Initiate, develop, and strengthen relationships with internal business functions, to ensure proper communication and execution of compliance initiatives.
  • Initiate, develop, and strengthen relationships with external partners, such as regulatory agencies and industry groups to remain aware of the evolving legal landscape related to payroll and HR.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Management or related field is required.
  • Practical knowledge of general payroll principles, government regulations and payroll tax requirements is required. Ideal candidate would have at least 7 years of payroll or payroll tax experience in a multi-state environment
  • Advanced regulatory interpretation and problem solving capabilities.
  • Presentation, analytical and creative thinking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive mindset to monitor constantly changing legislation.
  • CPP/PHR/SPHR certifications are a plus (but not required)
  • Adept at learning new software platforms
  • Ability to work independently on difficult projects with minimal supervision
