Summary/objective

The Communications Specialist will be a valued member of our Marketing department, reporting directly to the Director of Communications. The individual in this role will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our brand development while supporting a variety of company and marketing initiatives. The Communications Specialist will help elevate isolved's customer, partner and employee experience as well as our brand awareness and advocacy.


Core Job Duties

  • Support the development and management of email campaigns, by writing, editing and reviewing customer, partner and employee emails.
  • Assist in creating content for social media platforms. Write and schedule social media posts and monitor and engage with social media channels.
  • Create promotional materials for events (invitations, brochures, web content).
  • Collaborate with event management to ensure alignment with event goals.
  • Develop pre- and post- event communications and follow-ups.
  • Contribute to newsletters, blog posts, press releases, executive communications, internal communications and advertisements.
  • Ensure consistency with brand guidelines and voice.
  • Brainstorm and develop new content ideas with the marketing team.
  • Write and post updates for partners and the community.
  • Develop content to enhance partner relationships and community engagement.
  • Coordinate with the community relations team for timely information dissemination.
  • Maintain brand guidelines across all communications. Review and edit content from other team members for consistency and quality.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for brand communication to other departments.

Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Makes recommendations for new procuedures.


Supervision

Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Exercises initiative and judgement in completing recurring assignments. Often acts as a facilitator and team leader.

Typically requires minimum of 6+ years of related experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or equivalent degree or experience
  • 2+ years working in the communications field (B2B tech/HCM preferred)
  • Understanding of project management tools (Asana preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of design skills, layout, and illustrations (online portfolio is a must).
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft product suite.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of writing and editing high-quality content for different platforms (emails, social media, events, marketing materials)
  • Experience supporting social media management and content creation.
  • Previous experience in maintaining brand consistency and governance across various communications channels.
  • Experience in partner and community support communications.
  • Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
  • A positive, professional attitude with the ability to self-start.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.


Travel Required

Yes, up to 15% domestic travel may be required.
