Summary/objective
The Chief Sales Officer, New Business is responsible for leading and scaling isolved's new business sales organization. This role will drive the acquisition of new clients across all revenue streams, including field sales, channel sales, benefit sales, solution consulting, and network sales. The CSO will be focused on implementing strategies to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities. As part of the executive leadership team, this individual will collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to build a unified strategy for market penetration and new client acquisition.
Core Job Duties
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to acquire new business across all sales channels, aligned with company growth targets and market objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing new business sales organization, setting clear goals, KPIs, and performance expectations.
- Oversee the execution of sales plans to achieve and exceed new business revenue targets across all sales channels.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align sales strategies with broader business objectives, ensuring smooth market entry and customer onboarding.
- Refine sales processes, pipeline management, and forecasting for new business, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Build and manage a high-performing sales pipeline, identifying and nurturing qualified opportunities through the entire sales cycle.
- Foster a culture of new business acquisition, ensuring the team is focused on identifying and closing new sales opportunities.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier talent within the new business sales team. Promote a culture of accountability, high performance, and results-oriented execution.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive analysis, and market opportunities to refine sales strategies and identify new areas of growth.
Minimum Qualifications
- 15+ years of sales leadership experience, with a proven track record of driving new business revenue growth in a SaaS or technology-focused organization.
- At least 8+ years of experience in managing large, diverse sales teams focused on new business acquisition.
- Proven success in developing and executing strategies to acquire new clients and grow business across multiple sales channels.
- Strong understanding of the SaaS business model, with experience in selling software solutions to various customer segments.
- Proven ability to build and scale high-performing sales organizations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at the executive level.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Job Complexity
Operates with a high degree of autonomy, managing multiple complex functions across the sales organization. Uses a data-driven approach to manage abstract ideas and situations across various departments. Provides strategic leadership and direction to senior leaders in the sales organization, collaborating across functional areas to drive sales performance.

Interacts frequently with C-suite executives and key stakeholders both internally and externally, including investors, partners, and major customers. Influences the company's strategic direction, policy-making, and operational execution. Acts as a key advisor to the executive team and participates in high-level decision-making processes.
Scope
Holds accountability for achieving sales goals across all channels, ensuring the sales organization is optimized for performance, scalability, and growth. Oversees sales operations, forecasting, and performance metrics to ensure alignment with overall business objectives. Plays a key role in driving innovation and process improvement across the organization, ensuring isolved remains competitive in the market.

Decisions made by the CSO, New Business have a significant impact on the company's success, requiring a high level of judgment and strategic insight. Expected to make critical decisions regarding sales strategy, team structure, and resource allocation with long-term effects on the company's bottom line.
