Job Description

The isolved Chief Accounting officer is responsible for accounting operations companywide. Reporting to the CFO, this role is responsible for the oversight of the company's accounting and financial reporting processes, including monitoring and ensuring the effectiveness of internal control processes, and the implementation and management of overall accounting best practice and process including external filing and accounting controls functions and teams.


Core Job Duties

  • Oversee the Accounting department and function
  • Lead and manage the timely delivery of the annual audit report
  • Assess the current ERP technologies and determine the future path of the Accounting systems to be utilized across the portfolio
  • Responsible for the direction and management of all internal controls within the organization and oversight of controls over financial accounting and reporting for departments
  • Ensure optimal implementation and utilization of ERP system(s); ensure well-organized and effective operations that facilitate accurate and reliable reporting
  • Continually maintain the Accounting department's productivity and develop methods for its improvements
  • Facilitate a culture of productivity and offer strategic guidance to the team
  • Oversee account reconciliation, accounts payables, account receivables, net capital computations, audit support, book-keeping and accounting due diligence.
  • Ensure accurate production and completion of month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory developments and oversee their implementation.
  • Manage all tax filings, planning and compliance (federal, state, local payroll, property).
  • Implement process/control modifications.
  • Recruit, mentor and manage multi-level teams of Accounting professionals

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Accounting
  • Experience with Purchase Accounting for acquisitions
  • At least 5 years of experience leading a corporate Accounting team
  • Experience with team building and turnarounds
  • Experience with ERP implementations, preferably for subscription-based businesses
  • Knowledge of subscription or recurring revenue model businesses including software and/or SaaS
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with an ability to facilitate understanding
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high growth corporate environment
  • Team player with an entrepreneurial attitude
