Job Description

The isolved Billing Team Lead is responsible for the coordination of customer billing each month, creating audit reports and system alerts to identify discrepancies, and providing support of billing and accounts receivable team members. Also responsible for process improvement and updating billing policies and procedures. The Team Lead will collaborate with the leadership team to implement/integrate billing as needed.


Core Job Duties

  • Troubleshoot billing errors and investigate root causes. Recommend corrections to systems/processes to reduce billing errors.
  • Ensure that monthly and annual billings are processed in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Assign and oversee day-to-day work activities and job performance of Billing personnel.
  • Work closely with the Billing Team to verify that contracts are completely executed before entering the billing system; ensure that customers are billed in accordance with the billing system, and ensure customers are billed according to the contract.
  • Research and resolve customer billing disputes.
  • Track billing issues and report significant billing issues to the Billing Manager.
  • Perform various and frequent ad hoc analyses as requested by the management team.
  • Participate in the monthly accounting close process as it pertains to billings and revenue recognition.
  • Identify opportunities for policy and process improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Driven, focused individual, able to operate in a fast-paced environment independently
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in implementing system and process improvements a plus
  • Experience with billing for multiple subsidiaries and lines of business
  • Must be well organized and demonstrate a strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Reliable and able to work independently under the general direction of the management team.
  • Basic accounting skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of NetSuite a plus
  • Associate degree, accounting, finance, or related degree or equivalent work experience in a leadership role.
