Job Description

The isolved Billing Manager must be able to manage high volumes of transactions quickly and accurately with multiple business lines. The Billing Manager must think strategically on how to scale the billing function, fully utilize the technology available, and consistently seek to improve the customer experience.


Core Job Duties

  • Functionally administer the billing platform and implement enhancements to systems as needed to improve the billing function.
  • Troubleshoot billing errors, investigate root causes, and make recommendations for system and/or process enhancements that will reduce errors and increase operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure that monthly and annual billings are processed in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Partner with Sales Operations to ensure processes around contract execution and sales order activities are managed appropriately to help deliver timely and accurate billing as per the contract terms.
  • Assist Billing personnel with customer escalations, as well as partnering with Sales and Support teams as necessary to research and resolve billing issues.
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
  • Participate in the monthly accounting close process as it pertains to billings and revenue recognition.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience implementing system and process improvements that create efficiencies and strengthen internal controls
  • Experience with billing across multiple lines of business or legal entities
  • Driven, focused individual, able to operate independently in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be well organized and demonstrate a strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Basic accounting skills
  • Knowledge of NetSuite a plus
  • Associate/Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related degree combined with three years of work experience in a leadership role
