Job Description

The isolved Benefits and EDI Team Lead will lead the carrier feed implementation process for all new and upgrading clients, providing ongoing support for production files as needed and process annual renewals. This role is responsible for working with the customer, broker, analysts, vendors and carriers throughout all stages of a carrier feed implementation. Act as a mentor to other team members and an escalation point for questions. Provide ongoing training and mentorship to new team members. Provide support to the Carrier Feeds Support and Implementation Manager as needed.


Core Job Duties

  • Guide and coach Carrier Feeds team in understanding the isolved system and carrier feed best practices.
  • Validate benefit plan configuration accuracy and alignment with carrier specifications.
  • Contact customers, brokers, carriers, and vendors directly to coordinate carrier information, review data discrepancies during the testing phases and assist in moving the files to production in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate annual enrollment orders and change orders with vendors and our analysts during their annual renewal.
  • Process Carrier Feeds service drop requests
  • Partner with internal benefits team and implementation teams on plan builds, updates, and related questions to facilitate the carrier feed process seamlessly
  • Work with our sales teams on determining client fit and reviewing carrier files and minimum group size. Attend calls with prospects and carriers as needed.
  • Coordinate with integration team on various APIs.
  • Assist in researching discrepancies and reporting between systems to resolve inaccuracies.
  • Manage customer escalated issues and drive resolution.
  • Build strong customer relationships, consulting with them to make recommendations for appropriate benefit plan setup and integration with carriers
  • Manage a variety of benefit plan information (retirement, FSA, medical, dental, vision, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring plans are established according to client summary plan descriptions, eligibility, and termination rules
  • Maintain regular communications with customers, vendors, and applicable team members to keep them apprised of the status of their outstanding questions, issues or implementation projects.
  • Complete special projects as requested.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suit, particularly Excel
  • Ability to convey actionable steps to peers
  • HRIS software experience
  • Understanding of carrier feeds/EDI files
  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot complex problems
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills
  • Ability to flex and adapt to changing business needs
  • Discretion when dealing with confidential information
  • Professional oral and written communication skills
  • 3+ years of HRIS or carrier feeds experience
