Job Description

The isolved Accounting Manager, reporting to the Assistant Controller, will assist with the oversight of the company's accounting and financial reporting processes, including monitoring and ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls, as well as the implementation and management of overall accounting best practice and process.


Core Job Duties

  • Provide technical guidance resulting from new accounting standards or changes in the business
  • Provide support for the Company's M&A activity and its impact on Accounting & Finance
  • Oversee and manage the general ledger including timely review and approval of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations prepared by staff
  • Manage month-end close functions for assigned areas including the review of month-end variance analytics
  • Lead projects to develop process narratives and walkthroughs for key transaction cycles
  • Partner with IT to improve data integrity and functionality of the general ledger and interrelated systems
  • Be a key resource for external auditors to facilitate requests and ensure the timely completion of the annual audit
  • Partner with leaders across functions to strengthen the Company's internal control environment and improve operational efficiencies
  • Work closely with Finance to provide reporting and support as needed
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships

Minimum Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP and a strong understanding of internal controls
  • A process-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and an aptitude for operating in high-growth, fluid work environments
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization
  • Advanced Microsoft excel skills and experience with other financial systems
  • Software industry experience preferred
  • NetSuite experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion being in a supervisory role
  • Experience in public accounting and/or medium-to-large sized companies (public company experience a plus)
