Job Description

The isolved 401(k) Data Specialist will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks on our 401(k) Full-Service 401(k) Operations Team. Your primary responsibilities will include Plan Conversions, fund changes, balancing accounts and daily reconciliation with our custodian, RMD and mandatory distribution processing as well as correction calculations and other tasks assigned by management. This position requires the ability to work independently and as a team player. You must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills with the ability to handle high volumes.


Core Job Duties

  • This candidate will work with other recordkeepers to get conversion reports for new clients and process funds into plans accordingly.
  • You will work with other recordkeepers to convert assets for plans moving to new carriers and provide necessary reporting.
  • You will research fund availability when fund managers are considering making changes.
  • You will process fund changes within the recordkeeping system and at the custodian when fund managers make changes to their fund lineups.
  • You will do a daily reconciliation between the recordkeeping system and custodian to ensure plans are in balance.
  • You will research any cash balances being carried at the custodian.
  • You will facilitate the quarterly participant statement process.
  • You will monitor dividends to ensure all post properly.
  • You will calculate corrections, lost earnings and QNECs and work with the client to ensure they are funded.
  • You will import and balance any outside assets held by clients with other carriers.
  • You will calculate and process RMDs and Mandatory Force Out Distributions.
  • You will monitor terminated employee accounts for 5-year break in service.
  • You will monitor daily jobs queue to ensure all jobs complete successfully and research any errors that occur
  • You will provide daily reporting to the MEP fund manager.
  • Support with other projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the retirement plan industry.
  • Excellent computer skills required: Excel, Word, Adobe and Email
  • Experience with the FIS Administration Systems a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Experience with SalesForce a plus
  • Experience with Mid Atlantic Trust a plus
  • Ability to handle high volumes and multiple tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
