Summary/Objective
The Tax Production Supervisor supports the Tax Department to achieve organizational goals. This person coordinates the duties set forth by Tier 2, Tax Operations, and Tax Support teams to ensure efficiency in processes for tax production team. Acts as a liaison between Tax Production, HCM Production and Central Operations to facilitate equipment needs. Manages all tax production functions and internal relationships.
Core Job Duties
- Responsible for proper execution for daily tax mail
- Responsible for executing process development and efficiencies
- Ensures the preparation and processing for power of attorney forms are complete and accurate
- Responsible upkeep of inventory to ensure sufficient office supplies are for tax team
- Point of escalation with clients and tax agencies when needed for operations data management initiatives
- Responsible for the proper management client records and case workflows
- Is point of final escalation for trouble shooting to ensure information reported is accurate for governmental agencies including all levels of Federal, state & local taxing jurisdictions.
- Escalate variances between payment and paper filings to Director of Tax Operations or Development when troubleshooting efforts result in system functionality errors.
- Responsible for the completion of Daily, and ME/QE/YE printing and filing of returns on behalf of clients
- Responsible for the training, efficiency, and processing of all complex paper filings with an electronic filing component
- Works with outside vendors such as Xerox, FedEx, USPS to ensure needs are being met efficiently.
- Other projects as assigned by the Director of Tax Operations
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficient in Excel and Adobe Acrobat
- Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with leadership, peers, and coworkers.
- Must be detail oriented, self-starter who has experience with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office products
- Strong customer service skills are essential.
- Ability to handle a busy working environment with multiple deadlines
- Possess strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
