Job Summary:

The Director of Sales reports to the VP of Direct Accounts and is responsible for managing all aspects of the Direct Account sales department. The major duties include providing management communications to the sales department, training and coaching the Direct Account Management team; monitoring and reporting on sales metrics and managing the sales administration process.


Principle Responsibilities:

  • Build a solid direct account management team that exceeds the company's sales goals and helps drive the business
  • Ensure that the sales pipeline remains full of qualified opportunities and leads
  • Monitor employee productivity and motivate the team to reach its goals
  • Coordinate department activities and projects to meet project timelines
  • Evaluate and improve the sales administration processes
  • Supervise the team in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Provide coaching for existing team members and training for new members
  • Manage performance and salary reviews and develop development plans
  • Report to management on sales metrics, opportunities

Essential Requirements:

  • College degree in business or related field
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a company dedicated to software or PEO
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to motivate staff and maintain a positive attitude
  • Strong work ethic leading sales team by example

Preferences:

  • Robust HCM experience
  • A drive to learn and continually improve sales, business and interpersonal skills

Location: In office - Charlotte, NC.
