VP of Product Marketing

The Vice President of Product Marketing, with their team and as part of our growing product organization, will have full responsibility for the complete range of product marketing activities from defining and qualifying market needs to successful launch to sales enablement strategies and delivery. You will be establishing a new product marketing competency and discipline, backed by strong business processes, which means you will be passionate about sales enablement and process, positioning and messaging, pricing and packaging, compelling content, technology and innovation.


  • Develop and maintain an effective product marketing function.
  • Ensure our messaging is always crisp, compelling and content rich.
  • Help convert more leads into opportunities and opportunities into closed deals.
  • Create reusable process, tools and content for sales and partner enablement.
  • Elevate the iSolved brand in the market, with influencer and reputation communities. 

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the product marketing team (demonstrable track record of managing dispersed teams is important).
  • Establish and propagate proven product marketing techniques and processes in order to support product strategy, product launch, marketing communications and field sales.
  • Develop best practices using a build once use multiple times approach.
  • Identify and quantify market opportunities for existing, adjacent and new markets.
  • Define and own product launches including distribution, business requirements, pricing, packaging and competitive positioning in support of go-to-market (GTM) initiatives.
  • Work closely with product management to understand architectural and technical eco-systems incorporating them into the launch process as required, and to set user stories for product requirements and direction around roadmap.
  • Work closely with sales and pre-sales to align for field success, developing and leading education and competency acceleration.
  • Define and deliver a comprehensive sales enablement strategy aligned to the sales cycle to provide field sales with easy to find and easy to use resources including training, field tools, playbooks, presentations, objection guides, competitive intelligence, FAQs, and win/loss data.
  • Support marketing demand generation activities through compelling content creation and delivery including targeted webinars, videos, white papers, PowerPoints, web content, and collateral.
  • Engage with analyst, media, social and reputation communities alongside other spokespeople.
  • Analyze HCM competition and communicate market challenges and opportunities internally.
  • Help define and maintain best in class GTM strategies for target markets and industries.
  • Work with marketing in support of programs (e.g. webinars, events, editorial, blog, influencers).
  • Work with sales and sales consultants to build HCM knowledge through training and enablement.
  • Work with product management on roadmap themes and requirements.

 Essential Requirements:

  • You will likely have career history in software development, sales or consulting before moving into product marketing or product management.
  • A minimum of 10 years combined experience in the above areas is required.
  • Solid understanding of pricing and packaging strategies for cloud or subscription software.
  • Absolute passion for all things technology-related, current trends and competitive dynamics in the market and strong views on the future of tech.
  • Ability to provide high-level positioning and presentations that combine both business and technical experience to engage all audiences.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing to C-level executives, customers / prospects, partners, analysts and media, etc.
  • Self-motivated performance driven professional with strong analytic skills and data-driven mind-set.
  • Superior attention to detail with ability to multi-task.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft 365, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Knowledge of HCM covering payroll, benefits, compensation, T&A, tax and expenses, employee experience, compliance, learning, employee wellbeing, talent and workforce management.
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of US payroll, tax and benefits legislation.


Location: This position will be based in the USA (office or remote) and will require minimal travel.

Duration: This is a full time, permanent position.
